[When the video comes on it shows Diarmuid sitting in the media center with a book open in his lap. He waves at the camera before starting to speak.]

I don't know who gave me my Secret Santa presents, but I have been practicing my reading so I can show them how much I like the book they got me. I still need a lot of practice, but listen! I'm a lot better now!

[He turns to the first page of the book and slowly starts reading.]

The night...M-Max wore his wolf suit and made...mis-chef of one kind and...an-other his mother called him...“W...WILD THING!” and...Max said “ I’LL E-EAT...YOU UP!” so he was sent to bed with...out eating any-thing.

[The boy pauses here to look up at the camera.]

See? Not bad, right? I'm trying really hard. There are harder words on the next pages, so I have to practice some more before I try to read those pages.

[Diarmuid closes the book and then hugs it tightly against himself.]

[He waves excitedly at the camera again and then ends the video.]
