♡ Call 002 [video]
Okay, wow- hi everyone!
[In the middle of a flurry of lace and fabric, Cupid pulls a safety pin from a pincushion and onto a dress form. She's had her mirror tablet hooked into the network and it's obviously settled on a bedside table from what's visible behind her. She waves cheerily before momentarily disappearing beneath some fabric to correct some draping before pinning it in place, then reappears with a thin ribbon coiling into her hair to settle her chin on her hand against her bed, smiling.]
So hey, I was in the middle of working up a holiday outfit and I realized- I hadn't seen hide or hair of any planning for a holiday party! And okay, granted I get that this place doesn't exactly seem very festivity-intensive at the moment, but hey! We can't expect them to accommodate every holiday, right?
So I was thinking...
[Her smile turns slightly impish- and hopeful.]
Would anyone want to go in on throwing a bash with me? We can even plan a Secret Santa and everything! What do you say?

Now it was just a matter of getting used to this world's festivals...]
Of what holiday do you speak, Cupid? That sounds naught akin to any I knew in Ivalice.
no subject
[She asks, despite knowing full well she's about to give him next to no time to get a word in edgewise.]
Well... the easiest way I can think to put the holiday in question would be... kind of like a Winter Solstice? I mean, granted it's been co-opted by religion but let's not get into that because wow, talk about messy but yeah! Um!
[She pauses, takes a breath, and then continues-]
But more or less it's more the message of it all I prefer. You know- peace on earth, good will toward mankind, that whole thing!
[Granted it's normally more 'goodwill toward monsters' for her, normally but... she's still getting used to it including normal(-ish) humans now too.]

[A party is SO MUCH EASIER than this stupid letter he keeps failing to write.]
Kanji! Great, oh it'll be so much fun! Are you bringing Naoto?

[Just so long as he's not the one who ends up wearing the Santa suit]

[Diarmuid waves excitedly at her.]
I'm practicing my reading. Using the Network is a good way to do that, right?
[His eyes look at all that is going on around her before focusing on her face again.]
I still want to do my gathering for everyone who has left here, but I don't think that is the kind of party you want to have, is it? Can I help since you offered to help me?
[A curious look enters his eyes.]
Who is Secret Santa? Is he a god like you are?
[But his enthusiasm about helping is too precious, although she has to pause and correct-]
'Secret Santa' is the name of a thing people do- the person is called 'Santa Claus', and he's a very special someone that brings gifts to the good boys and girls of the world on Christmas Eve, even if he's not a god.

There is a ribbon caught in your hair.
[Because that's what's important, here, September.]
[His voice is quiet, almost gentle.]

[She remembers him from when she arrived, she knows, and smiles brightly.]
But hello again! Are you doing well in the city?

[After all, even after being here for as long as she has, she's not quite comfortable enough with anyone to just ask to spend the holidays with them. But a holiday party...That's a a great way to be around people!]
Um! If there's anything I can do to help out, let me know and I'll do the very best I can!

I have to wonder how they celebrate the new year... Even if they don't have anything like Christmas, most people celebrate that no matter where they're from, right?
[She smiles, reassuring, and gives a little hum.]
Well, everyone does celebrate the new year, but in some places that comes a little later than others. China has that really great lunar new year they do, it's totally amazing if you ever get a chance to go.

[She beams though, because she hadn't been expecting so many people to be into the idea.]
But that's great- oh, if we can get a lot of people to participate, it'll be absolutely hexcellent!

D-damn, you're getting right into it, huh? But a christmas party sounds awesome!
[It would be a good way to meet other people, and get his senpai's out of their apartment, celebrate Christmas together... and distract him from the other things Japanese people associate with the borrowed holiday. Friends were all he needed right now, right?]
Would it be okay if I got a bunch of my friends to come? I think it'd help em out a lot. Plus one of my senpai's knows how to cook really well! He could probably help with that.
[Why, was Junpei volunteering Shinjiro-senpai without asking first? Maaaybeeee, but the guy needed to loosen up anyway!]
no subject
[Not too old-fashioned though. The last thing she needs is her party going the way of a Bacchanal.
Gods.]
But yes, definitely! Bring as many people as you like! It's not much of a party if there are hardly any guests, right?

wow i'm late >.<
[Because he and a couple guys are pretty decent cooks. Like they don't kill anyone.]
nah totally fine!
[She grins, a little sheepish.]
I can do a lot, but I'm not that good.

A party sounds wonderful. I'd love to help if I can; I can make plenty of desserts.
[...it's because the party isn't really what she wants to talk about.]
You...design and make clothing?
no subject
[But her smile turns a bit sheepish, and she shrugs.]
Well, I do sometimes, yeah. My clothes aren't always up everyone's alley, but it's the easiest way to make sure that what I wear really suits me, you know?

Draco himself isn't someone who is a spoil sport when it comes to things like celebration—he enjoys parties. but not here. in this city, he finds the sentiment to be continually baffling, but he's been here long enough not to approach with indignant explosions regarding her behavior.]
You must be joking.
[well. that's. better than yelling, isn't it? Draco knows it's no joke, too&madsh;after all, so many people are eagerly eating up the idea. he just can't imagine what else to say]
no subject
Joking? About what?
[She looks confused, her expression scrunching up slightly, head tilting.]
The party? Or something else?
