Sooooo, has anybody seen Kaworu or Shinji around here lately? I know Shinji is the type to keep to himself, but it's just sort of weird for the two of to up and disappear into thin air.
[Mari sighs a little, a bit frustrated at the prospect of losing a friend or two to the seemingly random will that guides who goes home and who stays trapped in this strange place .]
Makes me wonder if this place has something against Eva pilots... [She laughs, a mixture of playful kidding mixed with a dash of uncertainty.] But oh, if anybody needs me, I'll be at the mall for the rest of the day working! Feel free to stop by and bother me.

[As per her message, Mari could be found the rest of the day sitting behind a register in one of the mall's many retail outlets. Dressed a bit more conservatively then usual in a nice shirt and long skirt, Mari lazily processes each and every one of her customers purchases with all the zeal and vigor of an inanimate object. Though she seemed bored of the work, it was better then sitting alone in front of the TV or outside singing to herself as she usually did before. It was something to fill the space that would otherwise occupied by nothing but idle thoughts that, on rare occasion, brought pain to her waking mind.
Either way, her bored expression can be seen from a mile away as she attempts to balance a pencil on her upper lip, one of many pointless tricks she had mastered over several hours of serving only a few customers in a long span of time]
